The idea for DanceNite was born one sunny afternoon with a cup of fine tea in my hands, on the porch of my good friend Kristi.
Many of my workshop students always complained that there really wasn't much of an opportunity to put their newly learned dance skills to the test , because there was no place in town to go out dancing.
Dancing has been a part of my life since the age of three, and only intensified as time passed. A hobby quickly turned into a passion of all varieties of dance. I started with folklore, interpretive dancing and ballet, but at the age of 14, I discovered Ballroom Dancing.
Since classes once a week simply were not enough, I took up competitive Ballroom Dancing, which gave me the chance to train every day and to attend competitions each weekend.
At the age of 23 I moved to New York City to become a proffessional contemporary dancer. Two years later I was so lucky as to be hired by OVertigo Danse in Montreal, Canada. Performing and teaching all over the world, I gathered experience as a performer and teacher.
I have been teaching students of all ages in the area of Whitecourt since 2008. Dances I have taught so far include Two-Step, NightClub Two-Step, Swing, Jive, Cha Cha, Rhumba, Salsa, Blues, Waltz, Tango Argentino and Bachata.
